First Papal Facebook Live
In conjunction with Facebook, MobileRider executed the first live stream
from the Vatican City.


Pope Francis addressed the World Conference on Child Dignity in the Digital World, a four-day event to discuss the importance of online safety for children. Organized by the Centre for Child Protection at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy, the conference brought together international leaders from the education field, government positions, law enforcement, software companies, religious groups and medical industry.

MobileRider successfully delivered the Pope’s message to 80 million Facebook viewers through CNN and BBC’s Facebook channels.
Additionally, the speech was translated in real time from Italian to English and Spanish.

The Pope’s first appearance on Facebook Live capped off this inaugural event, which concluded with the signing of the Declaration of Rome, issuing a call to action to protect the youngest generation from online dangers.
